Assignment #2 – Team Project (20% of the grade)

Students will be developing a 12-15 page report. The main purpose of this assignment is to develop an analysis plan, which includes two main parts, the first part is a literature review and the second part is a statistical analysis which includes the following:

• Preparing data for analysis (address outliers, missing values with using technology)
• Report descriptive statistics using tables and graphs
• Run appropriate hypothesis testing techniques, along with rationale for why they are appropriate
• Run a simple regression model to address the research questions.

This is a group project and includes a peer evaluation.

Group Participation (10% of team projects’ grade):  Students will be asked to evaluate their peers’ contributions to the work of their quantitative and qualitative analyses group. This evaluation, combined with the instructor’s evaluation of the contributions of the group members (based on observation) will be combined into a group participation grade.

In this assignment, students will go through the steps to set up a quantitative research study. The Instructor will divide the class into groups to complete the assignment.  Each group should submit 1 report. It includes a peer evaluation.

Step #1: Topic selection: In The “Topic Selection – Assignment Drop Box In Weekly Module 4 and in the Assignment Folder), add your topic and the name of the data set you plan to use for your quantitative research assignment for Instructor approval. Students are required to use one of the data sets in Course Content (in Week 6).
